The Detailed Program

Day 1 : Kalaw

You will drive to Kalaw, a charming town that is known for its colonial history and fresh, clean air. After settling in your room at Kalaw Hill Lodge, take a break in a peaceful atmosphere and enjoy a healthy vegetarian lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, recover from the agitation of your travel with a revitalizing spa treatment – a 90-minute body massage designed to rejuvenate the mind, body and soul.

A yoga session is also scheduled this evening on the hotel terrace from where you enjoy overlooking views on the Shan hill. With a stunning view of Shan hills, enjoy this peaceful atmosphere while re-energizing your soul. It is then high time to learn and practice the ancient art of meditation. The session will start with an overview of the significance of meditation for Myanmar Buddhists and is then followed by an instruction in the ancient techniques.

The rest of your day is at leisure for you to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside.

Day 2 : Kalaw Farming Experience

This morning begins with a 1-hour yoga session and 1-hour meditation session at the hotel. Mind and body will be rejuvenated in this beautiful, natural setting. With a clear mind, you can enjoy a delicious vegetarian breakfast. Kalaw offers the most fitting places for traditional farming experience. Today, you have the opportunity to visit organic gardens and farm house where you experience the daily work of farmers: milking cows, feeding animal, harvesting fresh vegetables, etc.

The rest of your day is at leisure for you to relax and enjoy the surrounding countryside. In the early evening, join a private yoga session at the hotel before getting deeper into meditation techniques with another 1-hour session.

Day 2 : Kalaw Farming Experience

Night at Kalaw Hill Lodge

Day 3 : Kalaw Hiking Day

Early in the morning, you enjoy practicing yoga bathed in the soft light of the morning sun and the quiet nature of Shan Hills. Breathe in the fresh air and relish the sublime views as you stretch out your body and clear your mind.

After a healthy breakfast, you set off for a day of hike in the rolling hills. You will walk among other to Nanthe, a Danu Village and will meet on the way the farmers and villagers, already busy in the fields. Along the way you will visit local Buddhist monastery and visit a library initiated by the lodge and interact with locals over a cup of green tea. You will have a chance to encounter with local villagers and try to taste local rice and plum wine. For lunch, you are invited to try Nepalese food at a local home in the village. You continue your walk in the afternoon and loop back to the hotel.

Day 4 : Kalaw – Heho – Yangon

Take advantage of your last day in Kalaw with several exercises which will help you balance your mind, body and soul. Let your mind float in the fresh air of the Shan Hills and maximize your positive inner energy. After a healthy breakfast, leave the hotel and continue your journey around Myanmar.

Day 4 : Kalaw – Heho – Yangon

Take advantage of your last day in Kalaw with several exercises which will help you balance your mind, body and soul. Let your mind float in the fresh air of the Shan Hills and maximize your positive inner energy. After a healthy breakfast, leave the hotel and continue your journey around Myanmar.
