Keeping in mind the needs of the little ones, we have minimized travel time and selected kid-friendly hotels and restaurants.

Day 1 : Yangon Arrival

Mingalabar and welcome to Myanmar! The former capital Yangon, formerly known as Rangoon, is a great place to start your family holiday. Its colonial background and religious legacy make it one of the most mesmerizing and genuine places in all of Southeast Asia.

Day 2 : Yangon Circular Train & Trishaw Visit to Dhala

Today you will delve into Myanmar’s culture with a full-day excursion around Yangon. In the morning, board the slow-paced commuter train to visit suburban neighborhoods and watch the bustling morning commute of Yangon’s residents. Then, travel across the Yangon River to the leafy village of Dhala where, although close to the big city, life moves at a sleepy pace. Explore by pedal-powered trishaw the quiet streets and markets before returning to Yangon for the evening.

Day 3 : Yangon – Bagan

 

Prepare to be amazed when you reach Bagan, a former capital city filled with more than 2,000 religious monuments. Climb atop massive brick temples, stare in awe at huge gilded Buddha statues and absorb the atmosphere of the rural villages surrounding the temples. A sunset cruise on the Irrawaddy River offers a unique view of the monuments and a game of chin lone, or cane ball, on a sandbank at dusk will be a memorable family experience.

Day 4 : Bagan – Cooking Class at Local House

Step into a typical local house this morning and join a Bagan family to prepare lunch. This fun, interactive activity is a treat for both adults and kids as you learn the traditional techniques behind Myanmar cuisine. Then, continue sight-seeing by bike or by horse to discover more remarkable monuments of Bagan.

Day 4 : Bagan – Cooking Class at Local House 

 

Step into a typical local house this morning and join a Bagan family to prepare lunch. This fun, interactive activity is a treat for both adults and kids as you learn the traditional techniques behind Myanmar cuisine. Day 5 : Bagan – Popa

 

Travel to the inactive volcano known as Mount Popa, leaving behind the flat, dry plains of Bagan for the elevated area formed millions of years ago. Climb to the top of Taung Kalat, home of the nats, the protective spirits of the Myanmar people, and discover colorful statues, unusual shrines, and the occasional cheeky monkey along the way. Soak in the brilliant views from the top before checking-in to a lovely resort with a swimming pool sourced from a local spring.

Day 6 : Popa – Bagan

Relax this morning taking advantage of the resort’s pool or hiking trails. Return to Bagan stopping en route in the countryside to see farmers at work harvesting the juice from the toddy trees and then processing it into various forms such as alcohol, sugar, and molasses.

Day 6 : Popa – Bagan

 

Relax this morning taking advantage of the resort’s pool or hiking trails. Return to Bagan stopping en route in the countryside to see farmers at work harvesting the juice from the toddy trees and then processing it into various forms such as alcohol, sugar, and molasses

Day 7 : Bagan – Heho – Kalaw

 

Leave the dry flatlands of Bagan and head to the Shan Hills today. After a short flight, drive to the Green Hill Valley Elephant Camp to explore lush wilderness and–if you’re lucky– encounter elephants in their natural habitat. Learn about the efforts Green Hill Valley has undertaken to promote environmental awareness and to protect Myanmar’s endemic elephant species. Tonight stay in Kalaw, a former British hill station.

Day 8 : Kalaw – Inle Lake – Indein

Take a scenic drive to Inle Lake where a boat trip unveils the natural beauty and unique culture of the region. Pass local leg-rowing fishermen, villages with houses on stilts, and floating gardens en route to the revered Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda. Then, venture to the village of Indein where hundreds of stupas dot the hillside and enjoy a scenic hike to a local village. Enjoy a peaceful evening staying by the lake or by its shores.

Day 8 : Kalaw – Inle Lake – Indein

Day 9 : Inle Lake – Heho – Yangon

 

Return to Yangon today and continue exploring this fascinating city. A walking tour showcases the city’s many unique aspects from colonial monuments to vibrant markets and diverse religions to charming side streets. A stop at a famous sweets shop is a good chance for kids to rub shoulders with local children.

Day 10 : YANGON DEPARTURE

Have breakfast at your hotel. Then transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Lunch and dinner on your own. Rooms are available until 12.00.
