The detailed program

Day 1 : Bagan to Pakkoku

Your cruise begins in the cultural capital of Bagan. Board the stately RV Pandaw at mid-day and cast off upriver for a 3-day cruise. Enjoy lunch aboard the ship as scenes of life on the Irrawaddy River pass by and the temple spires of Bagan fade in the distance. Arrive in Pakokku in the afternoon and go ashore to visit the vibrant market, pagodas, and weaving shops via local trishaw. The ship will dock near to here for the evening and a delicious dinner will be served onboard.

Lunch, dinner, and overnight on board.

Day 2 : Yandabo Village

Awaken to the sights and sounds of life on the river. Relax on your balcony or the sundeck and watch the early morning activity as fishermen return with their pre-dawn catch, tradesmen travel to nearby villages on boats laden with goods, and local residents come to the river’s side to do their laundry. After breakfast, disembark for a walk around Yandabo, a pottery village that is also of historical importance as it was in Yandabo that the 1826 Anglo-Burma peace treaty was signed. Return to the boat for a relaxing evening on the Irrawaddy.
