The detailed program
You’ll be greeted at your hotel by your guide in Yangon at 15:00 in the afternoon.
There are countless things to see in Yangon. Set off on a half-day excursion exploring the city’s diverse sites and fascinating culture.
Starting in downtown, a walking tour will include sights such as colonial-era buildings, colorful religious buildings, and the glittering Sule Pagoda. A walk along the lively streets reveals scenes from daily life with stalls selling a variety of snacks, fruits, and dry goods while local residents gather for cups of tea or rush off to catch a bus back home. As the day comes to a close, travel to Shwedagon Pagoda. The 112-meter-high, gilded stupa is the holiest site in Myanmar and a “must-see” for any visitor. Walk up the stairs, passing stalls filled with religious items such as offerings, incense, and Buddhist statues, or take the lift to the elevated platform where Shwedagon stands. The glittering pagoda is a stunning sight in the early evening with the gentle sound of bells ringing and local pilgrims meditating or praying.
You will be transferred back to the hotel in the late evening to close off the tour.

Escape the buzz of the big city with an excursion to Dhala, a small town in Myanmar’s low-lying Irrawaddy Delta. Board the local ferry boat for a short ride across the Yangon River. In just 15 minutes, the city’s high rises disappear in the distance and the leafy palm trees of Dhala appear.
