Set sail in Myanmar’s far south, exploring the 800 islands of the Mergui Archipelago.
Living aboard a motorized sail boat, days will be spent cruising from island to island stopping to snorkel, fish and go ashore. Discover pristine sandy beaches, untouched jungles and exotic marine life and, with luck, meet the salone people- nomadic fishermen who live in Mergui. Exotic and relatively unknown, the Mergui Archipelago is like no place else on earth and this cruise is the best way to experience it!

The detailed program

Day 1 : Kawthaung – Hansting

After a 2 hour domestic flight from Yangon you will reach the sleepy town Kawthaung in Myanmar’s far south. Upon arrival you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to the yacht. Board your home for the next few days and relax with a welcome drink. A boat orientation and safety briefing will be given before casting off on your Mergui Archipelago adventure.

Day 2 : Lampi Island – Clara Island

Today you will sail toward Lampi Island, the largest of Myeik’s 800 islands and onwards to Clara Island. Enjoy a delicious brunch on board as you cruise along crystal-clear waters. An excursion will be made to a Moken (also known as Salone) village, the nomadic sea-faring people of the region. Learn about their intriguing life and, if your lucky, witness their incredible diving skills as they scour the ocean floor for pearls or edible sea life. Return to the boat and sail to Clara Island where we will go ashore to visit the pristine mangrove forest.

Day 2 : Lampi Island – Clara Island

Today you will sail toward Lampi Island, the largest of Myeik’s 800 islands and onwards to Clara Island. Enjoy a delicious brunch on board as you cruise along crystal-clear waters. Day 3 : Pila Island

Awake and enjoy the quiet morning stillness of the archipelago. While breakfast is being served the boat will start to make its way to Pila Island. On the way, you can try deep-sea fishing or simply relax on board. Upon reaching Pila, a tasty barbecue lunch will be served on the island’s long, white beach. There is time to explore the island’s interior jungle, which is home to monkeys and hornbills, as well as snorkel off the beach’s shores. Return to the ship in time for a sundowner followed by dinner.

Day 4 : Frost and Potter Island

The boat starts up early this morning and cruises towards a cluster of islands known as the ‘Mid-Group’. Spend the day there exploring its small islands, hidden coves and beaches. As well, go ashore at Frost and Potter Islands which are famous for their large fig trees by the beach.

Day 5 : Zadetkyi Island

The last day of sailing is a leisurely journey towards Zadetkyi Island. Zadetkyi is the largest of the southern islands and has two peaks of 800 meters and 500 meters. There will be plenty of time to explore its beautiful bays and beaches and the area has some great marine life, so its ideal for snorkeling. Celebrate your incredible cruising holiday this evening with a farewell toast and dinner.

Day 6 : Kawthaung

This morning you’ll cruise back to Kawthaung, enjoying your last views of the unspoiled Mergui Archipelago. You will reach the pier before midday and disembark.
