At Myanmar Diaries, we practice what we preach. Since our founding, our aim has been

To share not only to see Myanmar country but experience it as well: To be a traveler and not a tourist.
To create the memories of Myanmar that fill travelers’ journals and serve as the inspiration for them to continue exploring.

And since day one we have delivered on that promise. Here is how we do it:

Customised Journeys: One of the main points that set Myanmar Diaries apart from the others is that we aim to offer individual, tailored holidays. We understand that everybody is different, with no two people looking for exactly the same experience while in Myanmar and plan your trip accordingly, building your itinerary step by step. We take the time and care to ensure that you are able to connect completely with the people and places you explore during your stay and thus enjoy to full, a truly unique, once in a lifetime experience.

Inside Knowledge: Myanmar Diaries is 100% locally based and independently owned. We eat, sleep, breathe Myanmar. You will be communicating with the very people who will be constructing your tour itinerary, not someone at a desk half-way around the world. Our team comes from various parts of Myanmar, with 7 of the 14 divisions and states represented in our office, and that gives us instant ‘expert’ information and an incredible network of friends and family on the ground who help us develop and deliver creative experiences.

Tourism Insight: Co-founder Thomas, has years of tourism experience ranging from small incentive houses in Europe to large, multi-country ground handlers. He has worked in 7 countries and traveled to dozens more. Many of the team, guides included, have a decade or more experience and have served as excellent trainers for the younger Diaries staff.

Ongoing Training: Myanmar is a large country, 1.5 times the size of Thailand. As well, it is undergoing a period of transformation and new hotels, new restaurants and new activities are appearing daily. We do not believe that desk-bound staff can be effective travel consultants and thus we spend a good deal of time on the road. Whether it’s a walk through a local market to search for the best place for tea leaf salad or a multi-day inspection of a remote area, our team get their boots dirty seeing first-hand the very things we want you to experience. As well, regular product presentations are given and information is shared throughout our 4 in-country offices.

It’s all about you: We understand the value of an unforgettable holiday and, for many, Myanmar has been a life-long dream destination. We aim to fulfill every expectation. Our team focuses exclusively on the needs of you from the first email all the way until you have returned home.

Whilst Myanmar is still lacking the infrastructure, we will go the extra mile to cater to your needs and if something is not possible, we will propose an alternative solution.

We at Myanmar Diaries strive to provide a personal touch that leaves a lasting impression of awe and warmth. We have experienced everything firsthand, from hotels to restaurants, and we would like to share those unique and memorable experiences with our clients.

We wish you nothing more than inspirational journeys.
